Most certification schemes let a licence holder print the scheme's mark, but only the mark issued to them, with their own licence number on it. Seamdex therefore never supplies a logo. You upload the artwork you are entitled to use, and the passport shows it next to the certificate it belongs to.
The logo library
Open Libraries and the Certification Logos tab. One record is one logo: the standard it belongs to, a name for the variant (OCS 100 and OCS Blended are two records), the image (PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG up to 2 MB) and an internal note. Logos are not proof of certification: you are responsible for approved artwork, permitted claims and a current licence.
A business partner has a library of its own. A partner login sees and manages only the logos it uploaded; the brand sees every logo and who uploaded it.
Which certificates carry a logo
A logo attaches to a transaction certificate or product licence whose certified items include Garment. Certificates for a fabric, a yarn or a trim never carry one, and neither do test reports.
The rules follow who added the certificate to the product:
- A certificate a partner added takes the logo for its standard from that partner's library.
- A certificate the brand added takes the logo from the brand's library. On the Composition tab the brand can also pick one of its logos by hand.
- No matching logo in that library means no logo on the passport. Missing Data says so, and a partner sees the remark in the submission report before sending the passport for approval.
- When the brand and a partner both attached a certificate for the same standard, the passport shows the brand's.
The logo is frozen into the passport when it is published. A logo uploaded later reaches a product the next time it is saved or published; the editor preview shows it at once.
Approving a partner's certificates
When a partner submits a passport, the approval dialog lists the garment certificates the partner added with the logo each will show. The brand confirms they are correct before the passport goes live, or opens the editor to change them. See publish a passport for the rest of the approval flow.
